like the smell of the smoke. Or at least thinks
there is a treat for him. — Thomas Rupp

Oatie and Barley

Oatie and Barley: We adopted their pregnant mom from a farm animal rescue in Ohio without knowing much about her due date or anticipated babies, outside of what the vet estimated. Lo and behold, we were blessed with these two boys, Oatie and Barley. We were able to keep the family together, and
they’ve brought us joy ever since. — Erin Twining

Yule Goat Bell Ringer

In Scandinavian tradition, gifts were brought by the “Julbock,” translated as “Yule Goat,” which was accompanied by elves or, later on, Santa Claus. Old paintings of the Julbock occasionally show him pulling gifts in a sleigh, but more commonly, he carried them on his back or even between his horns!
Here, Phil Hassey is Santa Claus and Finn is his faithful Julbock. — Nan Hassey
9-month-old goat, Pongo, became a Salvation Army bellringer last Christmas. He was so good he raised over $800!
In addition to ringing his bell, Pongo entertained donors by shaking their hands and performing other fun tricks. — Nan Hassey
