Meningeal worms are a parasite that primarily lives in the digestive system of white-tailed deer; however, brain worms can transmit to less-resistant hosts, including; moose, caribou, and domestic livestock. In other animals, meningeal worms cause behavioral changes, weakness, and death in infected animals.
